Two new pictures!

Image

I swear... June... came out horrible. Her proportions are actually good, but they look off because Erec's in the way of most of the parts that make her shape have any sense. Her hands suck (I suck at hands, almost completely as a rule. There are a couple situations were I draw very good hands but... those are few and far between). Erec's legs were a ***** to draw; I didn't know how to position a 3-year-old baby. I tried so hard to make the background half-decent, and failed. The grass is good, and the stock-footage sky is beautiful, and I guess my ocean/river/thing's okay, but the city sucks ***** and doesn't even look like a city so much as someone's grandmother's knitting, my beach sux, my metropolis area just looks like a prison cell's floor, and the lighting SUX! *pant* *pant*

But all in all, I like this picture. :)

Image

And this one's Ugry. At the castle. On the grounds... posing, I guess. I don't know what he's doing. An enemy's near by... or something. Maybe it's like this: "Uh-Oh... my the-Brat-Prince-is-in-danger-again senses are tingling! Must go save Erec's @$$." XD I like the cloak I gave him. It's all... swish! And yes, in my mind, he has short-ish hair WITH a small pony tail.

and i haven't watched the bleach anime... only manga, normally. unless there aren't any mangas that go with it... the only one i actually watch is Yu-Gi-Oh

i like them... the art style reminds me of Bleach a little bit... and Piter reminds me of Bakura (sp?) from Yu-Gi-Oh

Another new drawing. This one is called "Erec Rex in a Nutshell" Why? ...because this is what you say through half of each book.

And then there's this one. This is that scene with the pomegranate from book one. I just really loved this scene... That's Ugry in the back ground.

NEW DRAWING! Erec and his daddy~! It's that scene when he's about to connect the awen, and he hugs King Piter. I reread that scene for the hundreth time and I thought "this would be a really sweet picture..." So here it is!I stand my ground when I saw "it looked better in my head" but I think I did a pretty good job. I like King Piter in this picture (note: If you think he looks a little young, just remember that after he got his scepter back and stoped taking Hecate Jackle's poison, he went back to looking young like his brother and sister because the scepters keep them young. Erec says in the third book that there isn't much difference between young[er] King Piter of ten years ago and today's king Piter, except his hair used to be brown.) I'm still grumbling over Erec, but that's the best I can do.

all that's needed to draw anime is a lot of practice and observations of different artists' techniques. I started out by tracing when i was little, and now I can do fully colored freehand works of art. Find an artist you really like and then mimic his or her style. After a while, move on to a different artist and mimic their style. After doing this a few time, you'll develop your own style based on what you liked, didn't like, felt comfortable with, and felt uncomfortable with in each of the other artists' styles. And you're style will continue to change as you go on and notice different things about the drawings of others. My coloring has gotten better after looking over some reference material and seeing that I'd been shading wrong all this time. :P

Wow I love that! I've never been really big into manga comics or books but I've always loved the art, 1 it's sharp and I tend to draw sharply, 2 it's dark as in the lines are dark I have always been a dark drawer if that makes since, I wish I could draw like that... I attempted it once lol it required a lot of white out, I might post one some time

I drew this really cute picture in Photoshop. It's Erec with his adoptive siblings! We're first introduced to Erec through the family's unique sleeping arrangements, so I could picture them at one point just cramming all the kids onto one bed. You know June's holding the camera. :)

From left to right: Sammy, Nell, Trever, Zoey, Erec, and Danny.
